Anyone got a induction kit on their Focus St? If so what make is it any improvement on performance?

Does it give some wastegate chatter?

Im picking up a ST3 2moz

not any induction kits yet,tho ggr r working on 1 the now,difficult 2 change them i think with the ecu being in the airbox for cooling,the best thing 2 do 2 get turbo stall is buy the bluefin chip!!

 

Oh thats a shame, Im already planning for a bluefin

Does the Bluefin really give you chatter?

 

would imagine so,its running about 1.2 bar boost with bluefin so it should if its not tho u just buy the intercooler and that will garuantee it

 

When are you getting Bluefin? Keep me posted on what its like and whether you do get chatter. I love that noise. Worth getting Bluefin for that reason alone

 

I've not had chatter yet lots of bangs and popping though

 

I rang K&N today and they said they are currently developing a 57I and Typhoon kit for the ST should be available in 2 weeks ish.

Wolf will be releasing thier 300bhp conversion around 8th May, hold off till then, it includes turbo, interccoler, chip etc - and its all backed by Ford and will NOT invalidate your warranty

was in st3 the other night and the lad who owns the car as put a after market filter on it and apparently the engine management light as came on and the car as gone into a safe mode or summet. told him to get on here for info.

Maybe he's upset something to do with the ecu connector its right next to the air box (or in it infact)

 

he must heve d cat pipe on it,there no way round this at moment,as soon as they d catted this happens,thats y ive only got mongoose downpipe and cat bk exhaust at moment!!!
