Default ST170 Great car...

Got myself a a Focus ST170 recently while i restore my S1.

Got to admit it's a great car... but the petrol bills take the p*ss!!

Fair enough i can understand it while giving it some but even just pottering about i find it shocking

On average i'm getting 260 miles to a full tank n thats with some motorway miles in.

Anybody else got one and find them a bit heavy on juice?

I drive an ST170 too and while I agree the fuel cost is a bit high, it's worth it.

I managed to do around 140 to 150 miles from £25 fuel, which I think is not too bad. (10 miles on A11, 3 miles on A47 then a bit of traffic in the city - morning and evening everyday apart from weekend)

Mines an 03 plate St and i am getting 316 miles on a full tank, which reading bthe comments below is quite good. However mine seems to have a problem, if you are in 5th or 6th and are cruising say 60mph, it starts to serge in a cycle motion as if its holding back. Took it back to ford and was told everything is ok, they then finished by telling me to plant it everywhere i go as this engine was designed to be reved "HARD".
Thanks Ford - Useless

My question is has anyone else had this problem and does the bluefin sort it, or any other advice would be welcomed
