Immobiliser Problems
Hi Guys,
My Mrs car has been having some trouble.
The other week it decided to just stop starting. After having the RAC man out and sticking it in a garage and then putting a Solus machine on it we've come to the conclusion of PATs code 11, immobiliser can't talk to transponder and Solus has given me "B1681 9681 PATS Transceiver Signal is Not Received (Not Connected, Damaged, or Wiring)".
So I went on eBay and source a new ECU, Ignition barrel, transponder and Key. Swapped them all over today and still absolutely nothing?
Turn key all lights come on, turn to start and nothing.
Sounds like the fuel pump is whirring into life and the there is a relay down by the right hand side of drivers side clicking into place but it just doesn't want to even try turning over.
Is there something else i'm missing?
The guy I bought the stuff off included the whole steering wheel mount and pole stating it will save me a lot of trouble? Strange as the ignition barrel and transponder pop off very easily, unless there is something in between that i'm missing?
My next step is to get the volt meter out and go through the headache of wire chasing!
Any other ideas?
It's a 2003 Ford KA 1.3 Duratec, the new ECU, Key, Ignition Barrel and Transponder came off the same year, make model and engine car?
