Default engine system fault. reduced acceleration warning

Hi guys,

I've recently been having problems with my car Ford Focus 2.5 2006 model, occasionally cutting out or starting with the above error message it also says power steering failure.
I have heard it was the alternator again.

Well, you have got a lit battery light, so a defective alternator cannot be ruled out. What's the voltage with engine running?
