PLEASE HELP: Ford Focus Auto - Engine Systems Fault, Transmission Malfunction errors

PLEASE HELP: Ford Focus Auto - Engine Systems Fault, Transmission Malfunction errors
Hi,
I have owned two Fiesta's, an Escort, and now have a Focus. Each time I have had an issue with a vehicle you guys have managed to give me sound advice and fixed my vehicle for minimal cost
Hoping you can do the same for this issue:
I have a Ford Focus automatic on a 55 plate. About a month ago i was driving and got a Message on the display which said "Engine Systems Fault" followed by "Transmission Malfunction" and then "Reduced Acceleration". I pulled over switched the engine off and on and it cleared. A couple of days later the same happened again
About a week after this i drove up North and covered about 500 miles in a weekend and had no issues at all (mainly motorway miles). This week after returning, the error messages have come up another three times whilst driving locally.
Although the error messages come up on the display, there is no noticeable effect on the car apart from a very slight lack of acceleration.
It has been suggested to me that it may be: the Throttle Body or Auto Gearbox Module
Can anyone suggest if this is likely to be the case and what i can do to cure the issue - i really do not have the money to pay Ford a fortune to fix the vehicle so am hoping i can ensure the car is still running ok and safe with a home/ local garage fix
