ST170 braided lines
I have an Aussie 2003 ST170 and want to do the braided brake line conversion. So far the best price I can get on full stainless braided lines is $200 but I have found that HEL make a mk 1 RS kit for $89. What is the difference in the lines themselves?

so far most companies sell a 4 line kit (which defeats the purpose of having braided lines). Contacted HEL who looked at the plans for the kits and his documents say the real difference in the RS kit and the regular is that his RS design has a banjo for the front caliper. What kind of fitting goes onto the front brake caliper on the ST170?

the 6 line kit converts it from screw to banjo and it works fine, had no issues on my 170 at all, the rs kit is same as 170, no 170 runs 4 line kits, heres who I got mine from and he sells plenty

cheers for the help. I've contacted him and he's currently reluctant to post to Australia, The other kit is locally made and is a 6 line kit. Some others I've seen (I think Black Diamond from memory) advertise a 4 line kit which is cheap but isn't a fully stainless kit (nickel plated ends etc).
So you've fitted an RS braided kit to a 170? I wonder if I will need to find some banjo bolts or if they will be supplied and if they are will they be the correct size and pitch?

the 170 set is a 6 line kit the same as the RS any information that says its 4 line is incorrect, surprised at any trader not wanting to post to Aus in this day and age, and the kit I used needed no modifications it simply bolted straight on like for like
