I'm having an issue with reading faults on my ST170, I have used 2 different ford specific fault code readers now and they just do not seen to recognise my car whatsoever, but work on my mates st. Also not sure if it's relevant but the engine management light doesn't come on, ever. I've checked the bulb and it's fine but when I start it the light never appears? Any ideas??

 

If u read the thread imrc dissconet it has some of that in it might intrest u but bascialy my st170 was having reading issuses and different mechanics where telling me different problems so i decided 2 get it remapped to sort probs out so i went 2 get it done but apperantly i have an ecu that is unmappable and has a different processer in it than other st170 ecus.I phoned motorsports developments u can get there number on line.I tild them this and they put my reg in an up it came on there screen.People on here dont believe this so all i can say is phone them urself and inquire.Let me no how u get on.

 

Ok, I'll get on to them this week and get back to you, it's pretty strange! Glad someone else has the same issue!

 

I was pulling my hair out trying 2 find what was the prob was but once i spoke 2 the people at motorsports and told them bout my ecu then they comfirmed it was true so id go with what they would say more than i would people on the forums these r only a guide i think anyway.
