just acquired my 1st 170 and tbh im quite impressed. as said before revs a bit lazy tilll you get to 4g then shes off..overall not a bad motor for what ive got in it .as for performance id say its around 170 but will get it on rollers once serviced
what are your recomendations for engine oil..fully or semi synthetic ..as the engines got a few miles on (92000) would semi be best.. and what make i tend to stick with whats tried and tested..

what size tyres on 18s would be recomended 225/45/18s 0r 215/35/18s

ive heard of a guy local to me busting a 170 has cat back miltek so illl try and buy it

there will be mods..
wheels which ive got think theyll stand out
exhaust
springs/coilys etc undecided as yet

 

Mine has the same mileage. Got it serviced about a month ago and put Castrol fully synthetic in it.

I got a quite off Puma speed as I was looking at getting the Ultralite 18's the 225/45 18's will probably touch they said so you'd have to roll arches etc. They recommended 215/34 18's.

would only need to roll arches if it was goin low on coilovers ..ican get arches rolledfor Ł20a corner but that's a bit xtreme

 

225/35/18 are the biggest you can fit on the ST170s if you use 225/40/18 they will
scrub on the arches mate
