Hi,

Im having several problems with my ST170.

Randomly my "door open" light came on and stayed on all day.

That same night I came off the motorway and was having "fun" driving alongside another car when I reached the rev limiter.

Few seconds later my clutch went.

It only goes into gear when my car is off and not rolling. when I do drive its in one gear- rev too hard and the clutch slips.

If I come to lights I have to switch it off.

Is this defo the clutch?
Must I replace the DMF at the same time.

Also- I bought an almost new DMF and clutch off ebay but this has a different part number to what I need.

I have been told that in 2004 the DMF changed over for the ST170- Is this true or will any DMF fit?

Def the clutch, just had ours done with the same symptoms. Will shift without the clutch but i had to switch off at junctions and start it in gear.

DMF will need doing while its all out. Full job is clutch, slave cylinder and DMF. The dmf in ours had a limited life left anyway as it had a fair amount of play in it.
