st170 headlight querie
hi, i have a st170 with the xenons, the car came with a sort of mist on the headlights (not condensation) and is to me letting the car down abit, i read to sand them down and polish them after so i gave one a little rub over to see if this worked but this only seemed to make it worst, id much appreciate it if anyone has any idea of removing this as its quiet frustrating, im not sure if it could possibly be limescale? any help is appreciated
thanks andrew

What grit did you sand the plastic headlight with, because if it was too harsh your going to be polishing for a very long time especially by hand. Ideally you should use 2000 grit as a minimum then machine polish them after to remove all the scratches from the plastic.

I'd say the sanding them down thing would be to use wet and dry with plenty of water and then polish but I still wouldn't chance that. A gritted polish and then a wax will do the trick.

Auto Glym super resin polish is full of fillers so is not what you need, the scratch x should get them looking better, you need a decent polish like menzerna, you need a compound and finish polish and i really really really think you are wasting your time doing it by hand, a machine polish is the only way to do this. It will take you forever by hand trust me.
