Default ST170 - Traction Control ?

Got the ST170 new, a week or go but still awaiting the manual from the Ford Dealer!!! So not sure what the traction control button does - the light comes on the dash permantly when its pressed - so is this on or warning its it off? Is there a fuse to pull or something?

Asking because we put it on my mates Rolling Road the other day for a laugh but it wouldn't work because of the traction control kicked in!

right if the lite is lit up(on the dash) it means the traction control is off,how you can try this is to try and wheel spin the car in first

Cheers Steve - Thought after i wrote that post that was probably the case. We didn't even think to try it on the RR with the light on! Anyway seems to be losening up a bit and going better now.

I wish the Ford Dealer would pull his finger out of his ar$e and get me that st170 manual!!!

Umm.. noticed that also - must be all that torque! But it does work on the rollers - just judders (the juddermans coming!) cos it thinks its spining constantly. I've heard it only works in 1st and 2nd anyway!

Wish ford would get that bloody manual to me! Done 2000 miles in it already, in three weeks!

Mine does too, the traction control will only work if one wheel spins, if both spin it cant detect it cos both wheels are spinning at the same speed.

Yep mine wheel spins too

Weird thing is though, I actually did a better time at Santa Pod with the TC on. I still got wheel spin because of the silly power, but I did a 14.9 instead of the 15.1 I did with it on.

Ideally, the quickest launch is without t/c or wheelspin. T/c kills off the torque once it cuts in..........
