Default Focus 1.8 Zetec. (standard engine) can a dump valve be fited

hi. don't know much about engines. want a dump valve for my focus 1.8 zetec. told you have to fit the dump valve to a turbo? is this the case?

That is indeed the case - they are used to vent excess boost generated by the turbo.

the guy that left the message "i cant believe this still gets asked" is a bit of a ignorant tit. not everyone knows about engines, just like he doesn't know how to make friends because he has time to write things like that!!

if its just the the sound of a dump valve your after, you can get fake ones. they dont have any purpose apart from the sound. check the adverts in max power, redline etc.

company called sagem edv do a sym they just improved it we fitted a mk1 version a bit crap really but i recon this will be better

theres a place in ipswich called mjs they have this box that u hide where you like and some how the box knows when you change gear and gives the pssst noise that you may be after i will try and find an email address or telephone number for u ok

My god this thead is shocking, why are people even humouring something as retarded as a "fake" dumpvalve

You dont need a vast amount of knowlege regarding engines, just common sense!
