Focus 1.8 Zetec. (standard engine) can a dump valve be fited

hi. don't know much about engines. want a dump valve for my focus 1.8 zetec. told you have to fit the dump valve to a turbo? is this the case?

That is indeed the case - they are used to vent excess boost generated by the turbo.

the guy that left the message "i cant believe this still gets asked" is a bit of a ignorant tit. not everyone knows about engines, just like he doesn't know how to make friends because he has time to write things like that!! :content:

if its just the the sound of a dump valve your after, you can get fake ones. they dont have any purpose apart from the sound. check the adverts in max power, redline etc.
