High end cars' RS Cars getting nicked through obd2 port.

 

I leant my 135i M Coupe to a mate in Weybridge / Surrey for a few days, he awoke to find a brown paper lining over the window (smashed) and peeled back and the OBD port had the cover off. Luckily I had the OBD security update to remove the function or my car would have gone.

 

Please excuse my ignorance but what is OBD port?

 

diagnostic port fitted to cars so error codes can be read. You plug in a scanner to help determine what the fault is with a car

 

So, On Board Diagnostics then?

 

Google it mate, it will tell you all you need to know
