Focus Mk1 Smoothed Bumper
Just been looking at a pic of a front bumper smoothed without the number plate recess on Mk1 FRS.....
Yay or Nay?

IMO generally it can work well if not OTT, and if you do something similar with the rear too

The rear is in hand James, its getting something done that NO FRS has done.

I never ran a plate on the saph, so don't see it being a problem keeping the plate in the car just in case.

I think it looks amazing, I wouldn't want to run the risk of being without a front plate though. Get caught once and you will get a slap on the wrist, get caught again and you're in the shit.
The boys with ST's fit wide mouth front grilles which removes the plate recess then they are stuck with where to put the plate. Most put it at the side below the headlight, think it looks awful!!

I never had a problem without a plate, but agree with what you're saying and would probably run a stick on plate, just in case.
Best get this bumper into the body shop.

Pointless IMO as when you drive it, you'll have to put a plate on, thus covering the smoothed area lol
If you lived somewhere that doesn't need front plates I'd say do it

can't you paint on the number plate? or is that illegal now? I know they aren't the best in colour but at least you retain the smooth curve look which does look quite cool!

here in norway it is not allowed to drive the car without numberplates on it..and i do think it would get you in trouble if you ran without it..
and personally...i actually dont like the bumper without the recess in it...i think actually it looks better the was it is as it comes from the factory
