Default Focus RS Rail differences?

Mk1 Focus RS rail.. Is there an actual difference between this and that off a 1.8?

If so.. help me out as i need one

no there isn't mate, I used the standard focus 2.0 rail, the only difference is the rs uses 380cc injectors.

Just get a fuel rail, injectors and reg off a rs as a package, job done, that's what I'm thinking of doing

Hmm.. I'll prob just source a regulator and TB. As far as I can see the only difference on the real it's the return pipe is all metal on the RS whereas the others go into a rubber hose..

A frst regulator fits the rail and is adjutable.

I'm after the 300 mark. I have the ref off a 1.8 at the minute.
I always thought you needed an RS one one because it worked differently to a naturally aspirated one.

I current have a walbro 255 pushing fuel to it too if that makes things any clearer.

FI regs are usually 1/1, so for every bar of boost it raises the fuel pressure a bar too, otherwise you end up with there being too much pressure acting against the injectors vs rail pressure supplying them.

For example if you had 3 bar fuel pressure and then ran 2 bar of boost you'd effectively only have 1 bar of fuel pressure without a 1/1 reg.

the zetec turbo ive got in the car at the moment (up for sale)
uses the standard 2.0 reg and was making about 275 with 1.2 bar boost with no issues at all the regulator ive been told is cabable of much more too..
