Default Focus RS Mk1 buying advice

I have been looking to buy one of these for a few months, I'm going to hopefully get time to view some soon, just looking for some advice what to look out for, I've heard a few things like waterpump/thermostat, charge cooler pumps, corrosion on arches etc also heard the engines can give you trouble higher up the miles around 70-80k? I've heard this but it may not be true..
I want something around 40-60k, not any higher miles than this and I would like something I can drive rather than moth ball Any help appreciated

Hi mate tbf the focus rs engine itself is pritty solid as standard and very good for moderate power upgrades beware of slipping clutches though as mines just gone and have had the shock of my life at the prices of them and my flywheel has gone so has cost me around around the 850 mark with fitting it myself how ever they are a great car to drive and I doubt very much you will be dissapointed mate I am not every time my rs comes on boost a smile comes to my face and I personallly haven't seen any rot on arches on the rs focus I have seen a few on the tail gate on a few which is fairly common on all focus' my 1 has so far been a pleasure to own and would advise any 1 who's got 1 to go for it. Also check for gear box whines although the gear box on these things are very tough 9 out of 10 of these cars have been put through their paces and these can be costly aswell but as sed very very good car mate

I have only used it about half a dozen times as the weathers been crap here, the spec is :-
Blueflame black ceramic coated tubular manifold
Forge Actuator 22psi
Forge Re-circulating valve
Roose boost and water hoses
K&N Gen 2
AE & TUNA ECU Re-flash
Miltek big bore down pipe
Blue flame flexi section

H&Rs and a few other mods here and there, The only thing it needs now is a steering wheel which I hope to get soon, then maybe a bigger turbo and front mount but I will see what happens....
