Sorted the aircon today.
Well lads. The aircon in the car wasn't working so I had a mate look at it today and he sorted it. Turns out it was just down on pressure.
I bought the halfords aircon kit. Gas bottle and application/pressure gauge gun.
Drive home removed the front two plugs from the wheel arch liner gaining access to the system gas bottle. He removed the cap and attached the Pressure gauge to it. He then started the engine and turned on the aircon full blast. At this point he screwed on the halford bottle of gas shaking it between 10 O'clock to 2 o'clock before he did. Once it was fitted he pulled the trigger for a few seconds and released, again shaking the bottle. He kept doing this until the clutch engaged and the air con started to work. The clutch would kick i but loose pressure as son as it turned on. He keep applying pressure shaking between them from 10 to 2. Eventually he got the pressure above 25 on the gauge and the clutch stayed engaged and the aircon sprang to life in the can for the first time since I've owned the RS. Anyway he keep added gas until the gauge ready around forty on the Gauge as the clutch engages between 25 and 45 so he left it at 40 to be sure it worked.
Hope this gives in site to anyone that might try it but if your not sure contact a ford dealer.
If it keeps loosing pressure you have a leak and should contact a ford dealer.
Thanks, Eric.
