a friend of mine has this exhaust manifold in is Focus RS mk1, anyone knows the brand of these ?

 

yep its a ford motorsport manifold!

 

do you know where they are sold ?

 

They aren't!!

They occasionally come up on ebay or the forums but get snapped up pretty quick as for the money they are a cracking bit of kit.

as said ford made a batch of them but when tested the car put out too put power than they were after for a hot hatch, so the batch got sold and like said they pop up on ebay from time to time

 

That wasn't the case at all, FPMSL Nice claim though hahahahahahaah!!

After endurance testing, whilst the car was standing the heat from the tubular manifold melted the fans and lambda sensors. Ford then changed for the cast log manifold to prevent these issues.

is it just me that thinks that manifold looks fucking awful!

i cant see that flowing well at all ports 2 and 3 look like an afterthought!

 

Gains from it are easily comparable to much more expensive manifolds, yes its not the most aesthetically pleasing but mine is fully wrapped and looks pretty tidy.
Cylinders 2+3 dont fire at the same time so I dont see their design being an issue.
