hi guys just wondering on a mark 1.5 focus (02 plate)
how do you take the rub strips off?

I used a screwdriver. started at where the door opens and went along till it came off.

if you just pull them of you will run the risk of distorting the door panel.as said above hot them up use fish wire or a plastic tie wrap behind them a nd wiggle them of.might even be able to reuse them this way

i dont no about your 1.5 but on my mk2 it is held on with 3m tape it was a ball ach to clean of if your taking them off to colour code i would leave them on and just mask the car up and paint them on the car

im just mentioning this as i found this out after a took 2 off it took me ages to get it all cleaned up i stuck them back on and i was so fed up with it that i haven't even colour coded them yet

oh and if your wanting to take them of completely there may be holes behind them mine dose
