Default Engine swap??

I have a 1.8 zetec and was thinking about putting a 2.0l zetec in as there so cheap
My 1.8 is 115 brake and the 2.0l is 130 brake.
I it worth doing anything to mind like a remap. Would i gain 15 more brake from the remap??

What do you think??

Depends what you're looking at achieving, if you want big power then i'd say drop the 2.0ltr in. 1.8's aren't exactly slow as i guess you've gathered, so yeah a Remap would work well. Exhaust system and uprated airfilter/induction kit would release a few more ponies, 10-15 in most cases. Then after that, if you're not wanting the 2.0ltr you could either use some Webber 40 carbs, or even have a word with Jenvey about some throttle bodies, they'll put you up to a good 180-190bhp, maybe more depending what ECU you use, PLUS few things sound as good as a zetec on throttle bodies at full chat.

Hoep this helps a bit.

My thinking is put the 2.0l in because i not got alot of money but want it to be a bit quicker, well feel quicker anyway.
I have a focus estate so exhaust arent cheap for it.
I have a k&n pannel in it now with the airbox.

it's not a case of just putting a 2.0l in you need the gearbox drive shafts gear linkage and tower, the ecu ect ect...
