Default mk1 focus help???? PLEASE

i can no longer lock or unlock my doors with the romote if i lock the passenger door lock before i get out then i can use my key but it only locks and unocks driver door then why is this????

Remote batterys would be the first port of call and then check the central locking relays and fuses.

As said check the battery in the remote first, go round each door locking and unlocking manually, the central locking on these is controlled by GEM so it may be a problem with this and it has lost its partnership with the remote at same time which would tally.

still no change checked fuses and changed battery in key. what next

i reckon either a faulty central locking control unit or a dodgy lock solonoid

I agree, doesnt sound like the remote is wrong at all, just the main central locking has given up alltogether leaving you with old school manul locking.
