Focus Zetec 2.0 turbo project

Focus Zetec 2.0 turbo project
Hi everyone, I'm in iceland, so please bear that in mind while answering my questions, since that we have _NO_ factory ford turbo cars here. There is a single sierra cosworth here that I know of, and that guy imported all the parts from the UK to do it, and it cost him a pretty penny.
My plan is the following:
Get a Bell Engineering turbo kit (it's been built, and will be shipped to me this spring) which includes a Garrett T28 turbo, and an intercooler which is good for 12-15psi, and of course all pipes and plumbing needed.
To lower my compression a bit, and make the whole thing safer (as the focus is my daily driver, and I wouldn't want to fook it up too much) I was thinking about getting a 1.538mm SCE pro copper head gasket, which should lower my compression down to about 8.2:1
(For people interested in compression ratios and engine internals and stuff, I have a calculator at http://rit.cc/ses/cr-reiknir.html which I ripped from somewhere, and converted to the metric system)
For A/F ratio and tuning in general, I was going to get an SMT-6 with a MAP sensor. I know a couple of guys who have a tuning company (good tuning companies are almost non existant in iceland), and their authorised resellers for PerfectPower (makers of SMT-6) in iceland. They've turbocharged naturally aspirated cars before, using the SMT-6 with a MAP sensor for tuning. However they don't have any experience with Ford, and nobody in iceland seems to have any experience with tuning Fords (hopefully I'll fill that gap some day).
Edit, forgot the following part of my plan:
Add bigger injectors, 42lb/hr
I haven't yet found anyone running a focus, or a zetec setup for that matter, with an SMT-6 for tuning, and since most zetec turbo setups are in the UK, where there is an abundance of factory ford turbo stuff available, people usually have other ways of cutting corners (which of course is what I'm doing, if I had endless cash, I'd just get a pectel t2 or a similar tried&tested standalone unit).
My aim is to run 7-8 psi of boost (to begin with), and hopefully reach the 200bhp mark.
Also, once the turbo is on, I'll be replacing the stock exhaust with a 3" pretty stripped down exhaust (meaning I won't need much of a muffler because of the turbo, a small free-flow one should do, right?), though I'll of course leave the bloody catalytic converter.
Well, any comments are welcome, I'm mostly doing this to get a more powerful, fun and unique car, and also to learn something, since I've been having dreams of maybe building myself a kit car and running a turbocharged zetec in it, later on
Edit: forgot to pitch this in:
In the US, the preferred method of engine management with turbo applications, seems to be using a recalibrated 75mm MAF, with usually some sort of custom chip from a tuning company. To me this seems like a rather cheap solution, since I think its crazy to run a turbo system without the use of a MAP sensor.

nobody has anything to say?
I'd been searching for a UK based ford forum for months, and when I finally found this one I was hoping I'd get some help/suggestions.. I seem to be almost the only one interested in tuning fords here in iceland, and though there's lots of focus tuners in the usa, their cars are different from mine, so they're not much of a help, plus they're a bunch of wusses who most are afraid of turboing their cars, and are all trying to get 200whp N/A LOL

that is one nice list, what kind of car is it? (I see it has an IB5 gearbox, as opposed to my MTX75)
Also, why 56mm throttle body, the stock one on mine is 55mm, isn't the stock TB on all 2.0 zetecs 55mm?
And from what I've seen even a change to 65mm doesn't have much to say on a 270bhp turbo zetec
Basically what I've been wondering about is if anyone knows whether this sort of tuning (SMT-6 + MAP sensor + 42lb/hr injectors (stock ones are 19lb/hr)) will work, and if my compression ratio of 8.2:1 will be adequately lowered for my desired boost.
The only reason I have for not just going the "standard" 2.1 zetec turbo way, is that parts+shipping+tax from britain makes me have to pay _more_ than double what you guys have to pay, so I'm trying to keep my importing at a minimum...

It's a Focus, originally he turbo'd the 1.8L lump, hence why he has the IB5 gearbox and not the MTX75...He squeezed 240bhp from that, then he decided he wanted more power, and stuck in a 2.1L Zetec, turbo'd that...
As for the 56mm TB I'm not sure I asked him about why not a 65mm TB and I think he said the 56mm TB was better for it...
Give me a few minutes, and I'll go and find some pictures of the engine

nice, I like that picture, and I like that car (aside from the split light thing, I think it looks better with clear plastic over the lights), it was featured in last issue of fast ford, right?
Pretty sweet engine bay too
Any comments on the SMT-6 plan?

Correct..! It was in fast ford
As for the SMT-6... er er please! you're confusing me
TBH, I don't have a clue I'd ask the in the Main Message Part, as I think there are a few people who have turbo'd zetecs etc etc...
