fault code on st170

Default fault code on st170

engine light came on and the code is p1000. driving cycle not complete!? any ideas how to get rid. the car drives fine and everything seems normal

disconnect the battery for 30 minutes, ecu will be reset

p1000 does not put the light on. must be something else in there. how have you read the fault code?

i just put that code into my library and got

"Monitor Checks Not Complete-More Driving Required"

perhaps its getting some dodgy readings from a sensor and needs a few more miles to be driven to complete checks. maybe take it for a good run.

i took it to a garage who used a code reader and thats what came up. from reading on the internet it does bring the light on?! not sure on it thou.. i disconnected the battery but it came back on. maybe i didnt disconnect it long enough
