There all good lads.... there gunna hold there money as there a limited run, enthusiasts own them so there pretty much all looked after propperly. The only common problem is usually the chargecooler pump gives up u can tell by lookin into the chargecooler pot wer u top it up n there should b a constant jet of water commin out of a small hole ( sometimes it just blocked and can b cleared by puttin a pin in the whole) if the pumps gone u can get 1 off ebay fo £90 brand new... best car i've owned so far. N with a few mods can easily make 270-300bhp figures... and the std brake n suspension setup is all good too

Look in here all ur answer 2 q's will deffo b answered

Excellent!
Charge cooler pumps.
leaky sumps?
Steering wheels wearing out.
Where do they rust if they are going to? Round the tail gate?

What else is there to look out for if i go to look at one?

Thanks!

Seen cooling problems too. As the cars don't got a temp gauge you'll find it hard to tell when the car's running hot. Only got a lamp going on if the cars overheated

Under door mirrors, boot handle can rub on bootlid wearing through paint, along bottom of doors and bootlid....

Make sure the cuttle panel is fitted tight against the windcreen or it will leak water into the passenger footwell!

Charge cooler pumps can be repaired in 30 mins by anyone with a soldering iron. Brushes off e-bay £5.00.

Small steel coolant pipe under drivers wheel arch (very common) £40.00 from ford.

Water pumps. If this is going or gone then short of having it re-built, it will mean VOR cuss there are none in the country, and no time given as to when there will be!!

The water pumps.....you say there are none available but they're not even that old lol, have they stopped producing them or something? Sounds like a bloody nightmare if they're really that hard to come by!

That doesn't sound good.....would be a total cunt to have a 7 year old car rendered useless because you couldn't get a part for it!

I went to look at an RS today and couldnt see a stream of water in the charge cooler resevoir, I see its an easy enough fix but was wondering how worried I should be about whether its not been working for a little while? could this have damaged the car?
