I'll be doing conversion to ST170 brakes and I'm thinking what setup to buy.
My favourite was EBC Ultimax + Ferodo DS, but maybe you guys have other ideas - maybe TurboGroove are better?

Any grooved and or drilled disc will work better as it cleans the pad surface all the time, increase in noise under heavy braking, but not terrible.
Personally I'd use nothing other than EBC yellowstuff, I use these myself on cos sapph, work 99% from cold unlike DS, have massive feel, unlike DS, make ZERO noise ever even though I always take the anti rattle backing shims off the pads before use, and don't use any anti rattle devices, they are very clean pads, much cleaner than DS, they are better lasting than DS, better fade resistance than DS.
I have used the DS 2500 and after 1 1week went in the bin, even though brand new, my experience was that took ages to warm up to work well, then another 5 minutes they were fading, never ever did they have any feel just felt like pushing on a block of wood, I cna get these free through a mate who's sponsored, but instead pay out of my own pocket for yellowstuff.
Mintex 1144 1155 are vastly superior to ds imo as well, but very dirty pads.
