Default Service

I am about to take my focus Zetec 1.8 petrol for it's service. Does anybody else think that ford themselves give shit service or is it just the ford branch I go to in Sheffield?

Can any let me know of anyway of getting them to tune it up better?

Main dealer service is expensive and poor, but it does look good in the book!

Do you of any garages in the Yorkshire region (Sheffield) that will do a decent tune up? and do you know if the standard exhaust on a 1.8 Zetec should have a tendicy to blow a bit when you first start the car up?

dealer service is shite here in iceland as well.. they've had all sorts of stupid problems while fixing my car, and sometimes the source of their problems has been that they haven't listened to my advice/requests! Oh and they never have any parts, and no matter what it is that they're ordering for me, it's never taken less than three weeks to arrive.

this year i never got my car serviced off ford themselves so i used a mate who works for them! still used genuine parts and he only charged me £40 to do the labour. hell of a difference in price an all. does anyone know when the cambelt needs changed on the focus`s because ford reckon there good for 100k? . . . . .mine just sounds that little bit too cammy and clicky? its all tight an everything but a little wary about the noise its making????
