Default Mk1 Focus RS engine

Just got a couple of questions on it, as they'll determine some things I'll have to account for.

1. Is the turbo water cooled?
2. Does it have a stand alone oil cooler?

Also, what boost can that standard turbo run, without any problems. Surely it can do a bit more than a bar?

Thanks,

Ben

Turbo is water cooled.. standard turbo's are good for 22psi some run 26psi and have had no issues

Ok that's cool. Thanks for the reply.

I'll be running it on omex and I'm aiming for 250bhp with everything standard. might require slightly higher boost for that though.

You dont need omex to see 250 mate

The FRS uses a water filled oil cooler (engine cooling system), its where the oil filter is.

Thanks for the info.. Now Me and brother have 1 of the 2 engines we need on a palette, I've had a ganders and can see everything, answered a lot of questions I had.

I've got omex as I was using it for a Fiesta Turbo lump.. Now changed to this, no point going back to standard FRS management when I can use omex So should make the 250 easily!
