Take the resonator off the side of the airbox. Best roar, and totally free!

mesh filters generally sound meatier, but im not sure if the car will like a mesh one, k&n would be fine, the bigger the better

cossie1000 - read tabethas thread about heatsoak in his cossie, if i find it ill post it you up. different car i know but the same princaple

EDIT: i found it https://passionford.com/forum/ford-s...resting-2.html

tried just taking the pre filter part of the airbox off, sounds good with a quality panel filter in and alot cheaper

Just put a K&N typhoon on mine, sounds great and came with a heatshield too. I have also attached another cold air feed to it just to make sure.

Induction kits don't work very well on the focus, in most cases they can loose power as they are all mounted so close to the engine and sit straight in the path of hot air.

The only ones that work well are the ones that are mounted down behind the front bumper.
