Default Focus RS Mk1 - Brake problem.... sort of?

Hello guys,

just wondered if any of you guys might have any ideas asto why my brakes are doing this...
Basically, changed all disks and pads to EBC drilled and groved disks and red stuff pads about 400 miles ago. Just yesterday when my dad was driving it, i thought i heard a weird noise when he broke rather suddenly! (some idiot changing lane on dual carrigway without looking first!)

But i went out in it last night and noticed whenever you brake hard it makes a hoprrible noise as if its like metal on metal trying to stop the car, but the brakes still work perfectly well....... took a look when i got home and couldnt see no visible damage or anything all looked ok.... any ideas?

Probably going to leave it in the drive till the weekend and take the wheels off and have a closer look..... sounds like its coming from drivers side front, but could be wrong......

Cheers in advance for any help
Ash

grooved disks do make a bit of a noise. sort of a vuv vuv vuv vuv vuv noise if you get me

i've got grooved disks and they were very noisy to start with but have gone silent now. i think the ones with the groov going all the way to the edge of the disk dont go silent though. maybe it was this??
