zetec's tend to eat plugs and leads, also coil packs tend to go down from time to time
also check lambda sensor is working properly had this go down once made it stutter.
also get the tps checked (throttle postion sensor).
also should get the maf unit on the air box checked to see if running properly, there is a way to test this unit simpley remove the air box when running and blow into the maf should make the car run lumpy,if it does nothing its faulty get a new one not second hand
hope this little list helps to emlimate a few things good lucky m8

Stutter as been there a while, but getting gradually worse, plugs changed about 10 month ago......
The work I have had done is: the front part exhaust changed, rear anti roll bar changed, oil changed and front pads changed.........
Could it be fuel filter????

check those no leak from exhaust anywhere including around the lambda sensor.
also worth pulling out the plags to check gap and condition (colour will tell you how well each cylendar is burning fuel) also whether they look the same condition accross each cylendar.
would be worth getting the fault codes read to see if anything has been thrown up that might help diagnose the problem.
