My 1.8 is making a strange sound. its like when you empty a bath of water and it starts making a slurping sound thats what it sounds like it seems to be coming from the airfilter.. Anyone know what is wrong????

sounds like a big induction roar to me

you fitted an induction kit, different panel filter, or disloged the back of the airbox?

EDIT: just read the bit about anything wrong, no theres not

 

it does it just on idle

 

does it do it when you accelerate hard?

i have no idea pal, not nocked anything on the air intake have you?

 

not knocked anything i dont think.. i just replaced the airbox with a pipercross cone and here it come and go on idle

 

mine does the same with a bmc cda a gurgling sound dont think there nothin wrong mate

thats just induction roar mate, nothing to worry about, infact i think it sounds mint

it will do it with hard accelaration when your driving it

 

my st170 airbox did it just on idle aswell but not as loud
