Any one here got any experience with using heat wrap on an st170?

- Will I notice a performance/economy difference?
- I have a K&N cone filter will this effect (be effected by) the heat issues?

If you're referring to wrapping your exhaust manifold, I did it to my supercharged ST170 and did notice a big reduction in under bonnet temps. I'm taking my fully heatwrapped manifold off soon as i'm turbo'ing mine now.

If you're interested, it'll be for sale. Very thoroughly wrapped with over Ł100 worth of DEI thermal management heat wrap and fully sealed in black!

 

I imagine it probably makes a bigger difference on a turbo/SC car but any idea's on the effect on a n/a car?

here is my 170 with heat wrapped mainfold, i also treated the wrap then painted it black with the specail spray you can get...
