Is there a way to check if the engine management light is working? My car is playing up and has been for a few months but the light has never come on, the bloke/Garage i got the car from is known for removing the bulbs if he cant get it to turn off and i wanna check mine.

Any ideas?

 

When you turn you igntion on the engine managment light should come on, it will stay on until you car is started then go out shortly after. If its not coming on at this point the bulb is blown or its been removed

 

are they hard to replace?

just take the clocks out

if you want to run a code reader on the car incase its got any stored error codes i have 1 in beccles
its very good, just takes a second or 2 and can clear codes for ya too

 

Codes can be cleared anyway be resetting the KAM

emailed my local ford dealer to order a bulb, they said theres 2 kinds so had to take the one in there out and take in with me, so did that today but there was no bulb in there to start with lol so i took the one that is used for the seatbelts out and put that in the one thats missing and it worked fine also went out when i started the engine. so now i have no idea what so ever as to what is wrong with me poor car
