Default i have both

I have a 2.0 and a 1.8 focus but i would like to stick a 2.0l engine on a 1.8 box this is easy but would the ecu be a problem or would it work with the engine. or could i just plug a 2.0 ecu in and it be ok??

I thought the 2.0 Focus used an IB5 box, the same as the 1.8, not an MTX75 (??)

the mtx75 box is far better than the ib5.
but as far as im aware you could run the 2.0 in a 1.8 and just get the ecu remapped to suit the new engine

I know the mtx is better and stronger. i just feel is better as its a longer ratio box and with the 2.0 engine and a few mods on..
