Default focus estate Seal / chassis

Hi all, can anyone tell me if ford focus's.. mainly the estate versions half a casing to protect the seal / chassis? (its a 2001 car btw)

basically my dads managed to dent his rear nearside chassis just before the rear wheel at the bottom to the extent the rubber plug is now visable..

i was wondering is this just a casing that can be pushed back out or is their no protective casing and its just the chassis itsself (surely this cant be the case since a slight knock managed to bend it in a little?)

anyways if it is seperate how can i push it out? can you pull out the plug on the underside and get apply pressure somehow ? or am i just wasting my time asking this and go buy some filler and spray?

thanks

EDIT - Also his indicator wont self cancel, is this down to a indicator ring failing or is it electrical on focus's?

You are taking about the outer sill, it's not chassis, and can be straightened with skill.

The indicators use a mechanical reset, either ring has moved or switch has broken.
