Focus hesitation....
My mate drives a 2002 1.6 and I thought I'd just ask about a problem he's having, sometimes when he's accelerating throught the gears it seems to hit a bit of hesitation and the engine check light will flash a few times then it will continue as normal....any idea's???
Coil pack is dying rapidly. Get it sorted sooner rather than later. A new one from Ford is about Ł70
While you're changing that, check the spark plug gaps as well. They should be 1mm but it's not uncommon for 'pre-gapped plugs' to be miles out.......it used to be 1.3mm a few but this caused a lot of coil pack failures so they changed to 1mm gaps.
