Stereo problems

As title, my standard stereo in the RS is playing up (won't turn on sometimes) is this a common thing? And can you replace them with something else and still use the steering controls?

ive not heard this to be a common thing. but i removed mine and fitted this.

Wow! That looks really good! What Kenwood model is that? Is it OEL too?

Check the wireing in the back! Not known as a common fault but could be, you could replace it but its not likely that you can still use the steering controls unless you put another ford stereo in.
