Charge cooler water pump???
This might seam a bit of a strange question, my mates just got a Focus RS and the charge temps are a bit high. I was wondering if the charge cooler has an electic pump on it and does the speed very, or is the pump driven off the engine. Also where is the pump located just to save me a bit of time. He is considering fitting a front mounted intercooler if the charge cooler is at its limit, do you normally have to remove the pump to fit these?
What temp are you seeing?
The pump is electric, mounted nearside front, you can see it through the front bumper vent. To prove its working if you take the top off the chargecooler header tank you should see a fine jet. Check the level only when cold / engine not running.
From Ford - Ł600 approx, look at the RSOC forum someone on there can get them for about Ł130.00
It you go front mounted intercooler the chargecooler / pump etc comes off

No need for front mount intercooler until 350 bhp.
Pump is situated under nsf, you may find it is the connections that is corroded and only needs cleaning.
I think it is minimadgriff that gets the pumps at sensible money.
