lowering and brake conversion???
Hey all,
since joining this site i have been able to sort out afew issues with my focus but its time once again to pick everyone's brains.
2 things this time.
1) im looking to lower my car, nothing drastic but i aint very good with cars still trying to learn heh heh. i just wanted to know if i need just lowering springs or a kit?
2) Is it possible to convert the rear drum brakes the the same as the fromt with the discs and pads? if so is it hard to do would i need special knowledge and tools?
Cheers for all the help
Pete

Lowering can be done cheeply or dear depending on you money.
Cheep £60 springs or £2000 on coil overs
Easy as that.
Brake, i have converted both front and back on mine ST170 on the front and 2.0 on the rear.
The rear as easy taken 30 mins to do with 2 of us working on it.
All you do is change the drum to a stub axle, you can put up the full kit on ebay second hand for about £100-£150 but worth it.
Make sure they have the hand brake cable with it as well.

It depends who you are and what you can do, i did all mine my self even my brakes but im clued up on things like that.
If your not clued up get some one who knows what there doing to check the brakes over when fitted.
Springs and shockers are easy as well not to hard as they go on like they come off so simple really.
