Fitting DTA ECU to a 1.8 Zetec
Hi I am new to this forum and all looks great,
Getting to the question in hand I was wondering if anyone could help me with the wiring to piggyback a DTA S60 Pro ECU onto my focus as I am fitting Throttlebodies and ported and polished head to it. And was wondering if anyone had done this and knows the connections onto the standard ford loom as you need to leave the stand ECU on the car to control the Dash AC along with other things, I am just not entirley sure if it is just a case of removing the feed from the standard ECU to the Coil Pack and the injectors and giving them a feed from the DTA instead? The Problem that i can see is going to be when get to the sensors, do you just add another set of sensors and connect them to the DTA and leave the standard ones connected to the standard ECU? Another problem i think is that i am going to have is the TPS and the Crank sensor do you splice into the standard ones?
I am mechanically minded and wanting to carry out the installation myself but just not sure of the complications that may occour.
If anyone can give me any help and info on this I would greatly appreciate it.
