focus 18 tdci sport 2006
thats three weeks old now,
600miles allready
averageing around 55 mpg,
has been back for a new bonnet,as the original one was scratched to fuck, and it needed to get an internal valet,as the job wasnt done proper the first time round.
very slight colour mis-match,(its panther black metallic) and the new bonnet has a bit more fleck in it
but better than 3 big "ill try to get them scratches out with wire wool before the customer sees them " efforts that graced the hood from the off!.
well, its fast ,very torquey, and very quiet, im impressed,
first service is 12500, has BIG sills to scratch with your feet too,the stainless covers are on order and being made as we write from belgium!
things i want to do,
defo,
need to sort and aux jack for the dvd player into the ford stereo,
need to fit the ordered ford contour mudflaps,
need to fit the sill gaurds when they arrive.
maybe,
think about fitting some eibach lowering springs.
keep you posted.

give the car a top external valet, and the bonnet is sweet now, musta been dusty,
up to 1500miles already, went to l/pool at the weekend ,averaged 48mpg, at 85 and 3 peeps and loadsa luggage, so not bad,
sills have arrived, and need to fit, pluss find how to wire the lighted front ones up to the door light, as there isnt a plunger on the door reveal.
they are a perfect fit too
need to fit the flaps and the aux plug for the dvd.

2000+miles now,
goes like a train, really happy with her,
fitted the sill covers, but havent had the time to sort the wiring for the lighting bit yet, good fit tho, shame the adhesive on the front ones need refitting tho!
still feels really new too, excellent handling, maybe a little rolly in the bends ,but future plans are 18s and eibach sus springs too, that should sort that out.
havent done the jack yet (aux)and the flaps still need fitting too!

rite,update time again,been a while,
at 7000mile it cut out and went to saftey mode ,flashing a warning which said in the book,do not operate the vehicle, so it went back to ford, and alls well,(my guess was,it was a freezing night, and we went for a blast, but the engine was still chilly, and the comp decided enough and let me warm-up first),its not happened since.ford didnt know what it was.
at 8500,the paint on the rear bumper, fell off in stupendous fashion, the rear bumper colour is white, under the microthin layer they call paint,
ford where quite disgusted and emiediatley gave us a courtesey car ,and gave the choice of a new bumper,or that one resprayed correctly.
we chose the respray, with a decent amount of paint this time, with etch primer used thankyou very much. sorted,
now its booked in for its 12000mile service,a month earlier than the one year service interval, will need two new front tyres,as the wife loves the car, shes a fast driver.
this car is great,. good on fuel, cheap for road tax,and the ins is payable too. i recommend this car, aside from the niggles.
still on std suspension as my moneys been on the other ford ,oh and my bikes too.
