picture req of PD manifold fitted and few questions
Has anyone got a pic of the PD banana type manifold fitted on a FRS without any sheilding etc so i can see howmuch space and clearence there is around the turbo? i have tried searching but i cant find a view directly above the engine bay so i can have a good view of the space...
is there much clearence left if fitting a GT30 for example?
also how well do the manifolds flow? anyone ever found a restriction point?
is the Pro Alloy intercooler the only FMIC available for the FRS? something like £1000?!
cheers for any help

Hope this helps mate - Inconel ceramic coated PD fitted on my FRS
The PD manifolds are a work of art and imo the best quality & performance manifold for the FRS
Radtec also do a front mount kit for the FRS but imo the Pro Alloy is better quality

thank you so much for the pics everyone...but howmuch clearance do you have between turbo and block and turbo and rad? could anyone get a picture showing that as i cant really tell from the pictures? Sorry to be a pain
i think the first things on order are Coilovers, air filter, blue fin, exhaust, de-cat, and intercooler
does anyone know the limits to the standard inlet manifold and the PD exhaust manifold? or might i potentially be the first to find out PMSL

Inlet plenums are quite easy to make. This one we made for a Zetec Turbo to into a S2 Escort. Obviously now this items weld are all smooth and its all been buffed to chrome quality. But it will be chromed nonetheless...
@ Simhopper
Is this the item Ian Howell sells for his Zetec Turbo conversions, but obviosuly works on the RS as well? Have you fitted your engine, what kind of results do you have? Any updates on your car???
Cheers!

Well because my turbo is situated slightly lower than the standard FRS (Which I didnt actually know until recently ) It isnt able to use the standard method of supporting the turbo.
Primary Designs recommended the bracket and supplied and fitted it with the Manifold & Downpipe.
The turbo had to go off to Mano at Turbo Dynamics to have a bracket fabricated onto it for the PD Bracket to mount to if that makes sence.

Well thats already a GT3076 with an .86 Ex housing. I guess you would get a 35 in there but its not needed. If you remove the fans and put some blowers on in replace of the suckers, there is PLENTY of clearence. Be warned though, that manifold and downpipe was £3,500 as its one off and inconel.

Yeah Ian did 176.6 with 460bhp on the flat at Brunters (Thats what performance ford mag said anyway)
Never had any problems with my Rd Angel before. Its always ran +/- 2mph in conjunction with the ford speedo
