focus 1.8 gear selection problems
Hi people
my focus has developed a problem.
It seems to be increasingly hard to get it into gear, when its warm it doesnt seem as bad and also when putting it in reverse it always crunches.
I think the bite point is slightly lower than it used to be but the clutch doesnt slip at all.
I remember reading somewhere that the flywheels can be a bit dodgy on them, is this true?
I will no doubt take it to a garage but i dont want to get ripped off and pay for a new clutch if its not the clutch at fault.
Any help would be most appreciated.
Cheers.

Is it worth changing the slave cylinder without changing the clutch to see if it cures it?
I thought the clutch would slip if it was worn out.
But the car has done 75000 miles now so i expect it will need doing soon.
Cheers.

its not worth taking out the gearbox unless you are changeing both.
.
if the clutch is woren out it will slip. if the pressure plate is faulty it will drag
