FRS turbo question
Just a quick qustion about my FRS. I have had the car now for about 2 months and have loved every minute
The car has done 58k(a bit high i know) is totally standard and has been well looked after, full service history and everything else you'd expect. My only worry is that the turbo might be on it's way out! When I put my foot down I can here the turbo sucking in the air as it comes on boost, however when i hit 4000-4500rpm the sound changes, it kinda makes a noise like a wet fart(sorry couldn't think of any other way to describe it!!) and seems to stop pulling as hard.
What could this be, or is it normal? I have already checked all the hoses and clips are on tight with no splits, but that's as far as i go when it comes to under bonnet tinkering
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Which ECU Map do you have???
If you have the AF map it has a known flatspot at 4500 - 5000 rpm - coupled with the miles the car has done this could be the reason.

I have heard that people have had problems with it being up graded? Would a blue fin sort the problem?
