Default Dump Valve

Easy question chaps

What is the best DV to get fitted? Also can you get those DV's that seem to warble? (letting out air about 5 times in quick sucession, I think I heard one on a scooby once or evo)

Best dumpvale is a Turbosmart Megasonic i think. But at a cost of about £200+. I have a bailey (approx £90) and sounds good to me.

I did run it without a valve at all and it sounds shit. Nowhere near as good as propper chatter. May try it again once i get my GT28RS on though

Only took it off recently so about 800 miles. Seems fine so far, and the throttle and gear change are noticeably more responsive.

Did agonise over it for ages because a lot of people were saying the turbo couldn't handle it but in the end I checked with Garrett and, although they said it could shorten the life of the turbo, they confirmed that it should be just as strong as the T34, T4etc and they seem to handle much more boost with no problems so I thought what the hell!!

It is more a chirrup than the compressor stall you get with a cossie but I really like the sound, tons better than the dv26 I was using...I'll have to get a recording up sometime

Here you go, a vid through the tunnel on the way to the Pf meet last night, it was taken on my camera but you can hear the chatter pretty well....
