Default Ford Focus Light Hassle

Well Fitted my new lights last night to the rear of the focus, not without problems through!!

First I unscrewed the torx screw and tried to pull the lights off, with out much sucess, so after a lot of huff and puffing I admitted defeat!! Took it down to my dad who tried then as well then we realised that there is a bolt in the boot to undo, not that the handbook gives a good diagram to show you where.

So after my dad swaering on how he was missing his tea to do this we managed to get the new lights on only to find that the bulb for the tail and brake light had gone in the space of us fitting it.

No problem I will go to halfords, on my way back from dropping off the flatmate to a youth group, when I met my mates dad who then said nice lights oh by the wair your numberplate light has gone!!

So down to halfords to get two diffrent bulbs and fiddling about in the dark to replace the tail and brake light, just so my focus could stand out with it's new lights.

If I knew it had been this much hassle then I would not have changed them but when I woke up this morning and looked out into the courtyard I was well pleased it has changed the back end of the car.

Next modifications are the repeaters and front turn signals and new silver wipers.

I always find that if I am a bit unsure how to doa job or mod on my FRS then there always someone who has asked before on one of the many forums dedicated to Fords and in particular Foci. Better to have a check fist or even ask the question How do I? Before starting the mods, 5 mins on the comp will save you hours of swearing and bleeding fingers !!
