Default Brake disc not clearing

hi has anyone had this issue? New pads and st170 discs with Mondeo mk3 caliper Carrier oh 170 hubs

the outer 50% of disc clears during use the inner stays rusted from rain etc

onky in drivers side

sliders good and greased

thinking sticking caliper? Cheers for help

If the caliper isn't sticking, it's something to do with that shocking dice on the valve..

Is the caliper carrier on square?

Caliper is not square to hub or caliper is not central to disc.

i suppose you might be right considering the local kids haven’t even nicked them lmao

im certain they are but I’ve picked up another caliper and carrier for a tenner should be here Wednesday to rule that out

better off with 170 calipers anyway as they give more clearance for the rim but as chaps have mentioned those carriers must be mounted on the piss or something

I wouldnt have thought so unless it is making the pad retract unevenly / or clamp unevenly....sounds like the braking system might need a good coat of looking at.

i have already sorted the hose out - didnt notice it wasnt quite right lol but ive yet to test drive

wear like that on the disc has nothing to do with hoses its the carrier bracket not being true so caliper is on the piss unless your piston is split in half

Ok mate cheers worth asking anyway
caliper/Carrier replacement being delivered tomorrow so I will thoroughly wirebrush everything and fingers crossed it’s sorted lol

Looking at your pic I would guess that the rear of the disc is clean on the opposite to the front.
so the inner would be clean and the outer rusty.

the inside of the same disc is perfect (piston side) its just the face in the picture that's weird

for anyone interested i changed the caliper and carrier this morning, the brakes instantly seem sharper and i think the rust area has faded slightly, ill let them re-bed and hopefully job done

the old caliper i could swear the piston was at an angle...
