Default Mk1 focus cl 2002

Hi I have a focus cl with Central locking but not remote.
Does anyone know if I can add bog standard factory remote locking by purchasing anything from a scrap yard or even eBay?

Thanks

personally i would get a uncut remote from ebay as if you get one from a scrappy it would already be cut to a certain vehicle

i believe there a method to get the central locking working but it wont start as it needs to be coded to the vehicles immobiliser

hope this helps

You can buy a kit on eBay for about Ł25 to do it.
Needs some wiring work. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/REMOTE-KEY...-/380315645521

Not sure what the factory equivalent is, but it's probably several bits spread around the car, so not that easy.

There is an electrical module in the drivers footwell.
Replace it with one from a car with remote central locking.
Buy a transit connect remote and program it! Simples.
