Ford Focus Retro Fit trip Computer
Hi,
I am in the process of wiring in a trip computer into my 2003 Focus. Unfortunately it didn't have the loom so I'm having to run all the wires =(
I have done 11/15 wires =)
I am using this guide:
http://www.luckyb.pwp.blueyonder.co....too%20comp.pdf
The wires I haven't bothered with yet are:
1
Black, Orange Stripe
Output to low washer fluid switch on washer bottle
Run this cable to the washer bottle and connect to the top pin of the connector (nearest the connector release catch).
10
Brown, Yellow Stripe
Output to outside air temperature sensor
Run this cable to the temperature sensor location and connect to the bottom pin of the connector (farthest the connector release catch).
11
White, Black Stripe
Input from outside air temperature sensor
Run this cable to the temperature sensor location and connect to the top pin of the connector (nearest the connector release catch).
16
Black, Orange Stripe
Central Timer Module (CTM) (Ground signal).
Splice into Black, Green stripe wire going to the air bag diagnostic connector (PIN11) located under the centre console behind the handbrake.
Basically, it's not showing MPG or average speed or anything to do with speed =(. Pin 16 is the only one that might have something to do with this? Can someone verify that? I thought it was just to make it beep?
Thanks
JM
